Trick-or-Treating Downtown Arcata
Trick-or-Treat this Halloween in Downtown Arcata, Monday October 31, 4-6 p.m. Streets will be closed so families can safely enjoy treats from participating stores, free cider from Arcata Main Street & Wildberries Marketplace, and pictures with Shoshanna, the Halloween Fairy, sponsored by the Arcata Chamber of Commerce.
Entertainment includes a parade led by the Marching Lumberjacks (everyone gather at corner of 11th & H St. 4:00 pm), dance performances of Thriller on the Plaza at 4:30 & 6pm, a Merchant Costume Contest, a Pumpkin Carving Contest (sponsored by Lost Coast Longboarding - enter and/or vote on your favorite!), Halloween music by KRFH 105 DJs, Giant Puppets from the Arcata Playhouse, live music, jugglers, bubbles, and more. Come by broom, parking is limited (no parking on H St. between 11th & 8th or G St. between 10th and 8th) and please leave your dogs at home. (707) 822-4500
