Trinidad Art Night
Saturday, September 30th, 6:00-9:00 p.m. *with some earlier starts.
This month features Blue Rhythm Revue, with blues based funk/dance music at Saunders Plaza East, synth-violinist Willie Nightstar at Trinidad Town Hall, with classical, traditional and experimental music, a duo version of Canary and the Vamp at Beachcomber Cafe, Bruce Taylor, vocals/guitar at Trinidad Bay Eatery, and a painting demonstration/art exhibit in the Civic Clubroom by Matt Dodge. Find a variety of art exhibits and music throughout town; activities include food and wine tastings, crafts and face-painting, with Fire Dancing at the end of the evening. Early 5 p.m. start at the Trinidad Eatery & Gallery with their Local Oyster Bar, wine and cider tasting, Art by Toad, and music with Bruce Taylor, guitar and vocals. See Schedule. TRINIDAD MUSEUM 400 Janis Court

Exhibit: Ceremonial dresses are back in the Native American Room after having been danced at summer ceremonies. Enjoy five rooms of new and permanent exhibits in the 1899 Victorian Italianate Sangster-Watkins-Underwood restored home which serves as the museum. The museum also has a Native Plant Garden, which is open at all times.

BEACHCOMBER CAFE 363 Trinity St.

Exhibit: Local surf artwork by Sean Griggs of Red Eye Laboratory, out of Ferndale.

Music: Canary and the Vamp. Duo. Jazz manouche meets banshee flapper.

Food: Offering small bites and a Happy Hour of discounted draft beer, cider, wine & sparkling wine Spritzers.

TRINIDAD CIVIC CLUB ROOM 409 Trinity St. EVENT INFORMATION STATION

Demonstration and Exhibit: Local artist Matt Dodge will be exhibiting a varied selection of his work in Trinidad Town Hall, while creating and demonstrating his technique in Trinidad Civic Club Room. For information about the artist visit MattDodgeImages.com.

Exhibit: Paintings by Matt Dodge.

Music: Willie Nightstar explores multiple styles, creative and traditional, acoustic and electric, using synth-violin, beat-box, loopers, guitar, violin, and cornet.

TRINIDAD ART GALLERY 490 Trinity St

Exhibit: Come enjoy the work of botanical dye artist Patty Demant and jeweler Drew Forsell. This year both artists will feature the elegant design of a lemon-scented gum eucalyptus leaf in their work. Harmonizing their individual expressions, together creating amazing wearable art.

Benefit: A wine pour will benefit Trinidad Coastal Land Trust.

TRINIDAD BAY EATERY & Gallery 607 Parker St

*5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Exhibit: Art by Toad. Local artist Jessica “Toad” Aldeghi considers herself a Trinidad artist - letting the natural beauty of this place define time and space. Acrylic paint and fine markers are her medium.

Music: Bruce Taylor is back on the patio, with his New Album, “Ryman Sessions”.

Food and Wine: Featuring Pat Knittle’s Northstory Wines & Wrangletown Cellars. Multi-bottle, mix ‘n match discount pricing will apply, plus a Local Oyster Bar with seasonal washes.
