Trinidad Rancheria History and Land Management
The Cher-Ae Heights Indian Community of the Trinidad Rancheria is a federally recognized tribe located near the City of Trinidad. Shirley Laos, a member of the Trinidad Rancheria and Government Liaison will give a talk on the history of the Rancheria and their role as one of the partner groups of the Trinidad Gateway California Coastal National Monument.
Deepen your knowledge of and connection to Trinidad’s coastal
environments through the Trinidad Coastal Naturalist Training Program. The training is open to anyone interested in learning more about the Trinidad Coast and how to share their interest with others. While you may take all or part of the training to expand your personal knowledge, the training is also designed to help prepare participants to volunteer for the Trinidad Coastal Land Trust. Participants who complete 25 hours of training and volunteer service receive a Trinidad Coastal Naturalist Certificate. Field session space is limited.
