Unity Music Festival
A full day of music and fun in the sun is happening July 21 in Willow Creek, as Mountain Community and Culture (MCC) presents the Unity Music Fest. With five great bands, beer, wine and food available, a Kid’s Zone featuring Circus Nature, and more, it’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy beautiful Willow Creek. The event will be held at the outdoor stage at China Creek Cabins, one mile east of Willow Creek on Highway 299. Doors open at 1:00 pm with live music from 2:00 until 10:00. Attendees should plan to bring a blanket or lawn chairs to be comfortable at the grassy outdoor venue. Featured bands include Woven Roots, The Apiary, Cadillac Ranch, Bluff Creek Boys and Crooked Trees. This family friendly event also includes a special kid’s zone with the amazing clowns from Circus Nature. Local food vendors will be on hand to provide refreshments, and MCC will be pouring wine and local beers, available to those 21 and older. The event is a fundraiser for Mountain Community and Culture, a 501c3 Non-Profit working together with Dream Quest Youth Partnership to build a community center in Willow Creek. Primary funding for the event was provided by Humboldt Lodging Alliance - Willow Creek. Advance tickets are $20 for adults (13 and up), $5 for kids 5 to 12. Adult tickets will be available at the door for $25. Advance tickets will be on sale by July 1 in Willow Creek at Dream Quest Thrift Store, RiverSong Natural Foods and Harmony Café, and in Arcata at Wildberries Marketplace. Special thanks go to China Creek Cottages for providing the venue, and to the Willow Creek Volunteer Fire department for providing security and emergency medical services. As a token of appreciation for keeping our communities safe, admission is free for all active VFD members from Burnt Ranch to Orleans.
