Volunteer Work Day at Black Sands Beach

Volunteers are invited to a work party to plant, pull weeds and enhance the native plant gardens at Black Sands Beach in Shelter Cove on Sunday, May 22, from 10a.m. to 1p.m. Sponsored by Friends of the Lost Coast and BLM King Range National Conservation Area, this monthly volunteer service event rotates between three popular KRNCA public access sites in Shelter Cove. Meet 10a.m. at the Black Sands Beach parking area, located at 856 Beach Road. Be sure to dress in layers and bring your own gloves. Tools are provided.
