Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge
Celebrate National Wildlife Refuge Week and “Walk on the Wild Side”
The Salmon Creek Unit of the refuge will be temporarily opening public access to the area north of the Shorebird Loop Trail and around the outer levee. Visitors can walk a 3 or 4 mile loop or just go out and back a shorter distance. It should provide some great birding opportunities and a chance to see more areas managed for wildlife.
