Walking Tour and Workshop

Eureka High School Lecture Hall

The City of Eureka is initiating a new project to engage residents and local businesses in re-envisioning H and I Streets and potentially adjacent north-south routes to improve safety for all users and foster vibrant neighborhoods and business districts. The goal is to develop a multimodal plan for the main north-south streets in the city - J to E Streets from 6th Street to Harris Street with a focus on H and I Streets. The City of Eureka would like your input to improve safety for walking, biking and driving through this area at a series of community workshops including a Walking Tour and Workshop on Tuesday, October 3 from 2:30-5:00pm starting and ending at the Eureka High School Lecture Hall. Participants will experience firsthand the conditions for walking, biking and driving along H and I Streets and surrounding roadways and then record concerns and ideas on maps during a workshop immediately following the walking tour.
