Wes Urbaniak & The Mountain Folk

Kaptain’s Quarters

Wes Urbaniak is a human who has moved through his life with the goal to create the most beautiful worlds he can imagine. And, not only has he achieved this on a musical level— where he has composed and curated lyrics and melody unlike any other known— but also, in his efforts becoming a luthier and a dedicated steward to the land he inhabits, and to those who surround him.

Urbaniak instruments are made from the original red rocks amphitheater benches, along with parts and pieces derived from 100+ year old pianos (which currently reside in the forest of the island Wes inhabits, on the Yellowstone river in Livingston Montana).

When Wes takes the stage, you are greeted with lyrics that speak on the self in its many forms, through trials of the life we all inhabit and move through. His time spent learning each instrument becomes revealed when you hear his approach to the music through technique and storytelling— which is of remark.
This music is not quite familiar, because Wes has curated and formed his own unique expression through his thoughts and efforts, to create what we have all come to know as “the most beautiful world imaginable.”

Wes Urbaniak along with The Mountain Folk would be stoked to see you during our travels!

Sending our best good thoughts 🎶
