Whitewater Raft Guide Training

A two day intensive whitewater raft guide training course. Great for beginners or those looking to advance their skills as a guide. Class will include instruction on guiding (captaining) a paddle raft, river dynamics and hazards, understanding whitewater, equipment, and safety skills and strategy. These skills translate well to participants interested in kayaking, rowing an oar boat, canoeing etc. Course includes two days of whitewater rafting (class 3 and 4 whitewater) on the Klamath and Salmon Rivers. Includes camping at our private campground on the Klamath River and dinner (on May 13) and breakfast (on May 14). For more info check awwrafting.com or call Center Activities. Location: Paradise Point (near Somes Bar) California. Notes: Participants will need to bring a wetsuit, camping gear, and their own lunch for Saturday and Sunday. We will provide life jackets, paddles, rafts and other necessary equipment.
