Wildlife Conservation Lecture Series- Elk on the North Coast: Research & Management
Wildlife Conservation is the focus of a free lecture series, presented via Zoom by BLM & Friends of the Lost Coast. The 4-part event continues Tuesday, January 23 at 6p.m. with Elk on the North Coast: Research & Management, featuring Carrington HIlson, Environmental Scientist with CDFW, and Micaela Szykman Gunther, Wildlife Professor at CalPoly Humboldt. They will discuss their collaboration to understand how many elk are out there, what group composition looks like, where they range, how they come into conflict with people, and what we can do about it – plus Q&A.
