Wildlife Conservation is the focus of a free lecture series, presented via Zoom by BLM & Friends of the Lost Coast. It continues Tuesday, January 30 at 6p.m. with Elephant Seals & Marine Mammals of the Lost Coast, featuring Dr. Dawn Goley, Zoology Professor at CalPoly Humboldt. She will detail her work with the Elephant Seal colony at Punta Gorda, and share data collected by community “citizen science” hubs helping to monitor Lost Coast shores and track trends occurring within these populations. Information on a recent leptospirosis outbreak will also be covered, plus Q&A. Zoom link and info at lostcoast.org.
