Winos for Rhinos

Join the Redwood Coast chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers for our third annual Winos for Rhinos fundraiser on Saturday, October 15th, from 5-10pm at Harvest in Arcata. Enjoy wine flights paired with cheese and chocolate, live music by For Folk Sake, games, and a silent auction to benefit endangered rhinos! Suggested donation of $5 or purchase a $25 wine flight (3 samples) paired with local chocolate from Dick Taylor or local cheese from Cypress Grove Chevre. Double flights are $40 (6 samples) with both chocolate and cheese! All silent auction proceeds and 25% of Harvest proceeds are donated to rhino habitat conservation. This fundraiser is part of a 26-year nationwide fundraiser by the American Association of Zoo Keepers called “Bowling for Rhinos.” To date, Bowling for Rhinos has raised and donated over $6.3 million for rhino conservation! These funds help support wildlife nature preserves and conservation research in Africa and Asia, protecting black, white, Sumatran, and Javan rhino species as well as countless other animals and plants.
