Lighthouses of Humboldt County w/ Julie Clark
The history and preservation of local lighthouses and the maritime culture they fostered along the Lost Coast is the focus of a free lecture series, presented via Zoom by Friends of the Lost Coast and BLM. The series kicks off Tuesday, January 24 with Julie Clark, BLM Interpreter and author of Lighthouses of Humboldt County. She will give an historical overview of the five lighthouses in Humboldt County and will cover the need for lighthouses, the many shipwrecks off our rocky coast, and stories of the brave lighthouse keepers who operated them.
