Womxn’s Empowerment Self Defense Seminar

Humboldt Jiu Jitsu

This seminar will take place at Humboldt Jiu Jitsu in Arcata on Saturday, August 27th from 4pm to 6pm. Empowerment Self Defense is a holistic approach to self defense that includes verbal and mental self defense, such as situational and self awareness, boundary setting, assertiveness, avoidance and escape tactics, and de-escalation, in addition to physical self-defense. The seminar will be taught by Danielle Cenotti, a member of the Women’s National Martial Arts Federation and a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Sensitive or triggering topics may come up. Womxn ages 13 and up may attend. Price will be $20 general admittance, and $15 for students.
