Did you know 25% of ALL Old Growth Redwoods were protected by Laura Mahan and many women’s clubs members?

Come learn about Laura in the very same place she fought to protect!
Take a special legacy timeline hike to Laura Mahan’s plaque, where Park Interpreters will be presenting on her legacy.

Directions: Humboldt Redwoods State Park, Founders Grove and Laura Mahan Plaque Trail. 2.7 mi North of Weott exit #661 on the Avenue of the Giants ( ~mile marker 20.39).

You can access the event from either Auto Stop #5 or Founders Grove Trailhead, where event staff will be stationed to direct you. Hike is about 1/2 mile one way from either side.
