Wood Creek Restoration Celebration
You’re invited to Freshwater Farms Reserve to learn more about the importance of the Wood Creek Restoration Project, the history of the site, and to celebrate the progress of Phase III. The event will include a presentation, community toast and light refreshments, and optional walking tour to see recently restored areas at Freshwater Farms Reserve and the Felt Ranch. RSVP’s are encouraged at our website, ncrlt.org/events/.
Learn more about the Wood Creek restoration project past, present, and future, with information about Phase III Restoration currently in progress! Hear from NRLT staff and project partners, about the importance of this waterway for salmon and ranchers alike. And have the opportunity to see the restored 35 acres of tidal wetland at Freshwater Farms Reserve on the ground, after the presentations.
NRLT is proud to be partnering with landowner’s Sean and Kathy O’Day, The Buckeye Conservancy, California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Point Blue Conservation Science, National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, and area experts and agencies to implement the next phase of restoration on and adjacent to Freshwater Farms Reserve.
