Zero Waste Coastal Cleanup Day 2019

On September 21st the NEC is celebrating its 40th anniversary of Coastal Cleanup Day and we’re going to be doing things a little differently. This year we are taking beach cleans back to the basics and reframing them to be the educational tools that they are meant to be. The global plastics issue is one that can no longer be ignored. We are all consumers on this planet which means we all have an important role to play. Now that the NEC has declared war on single use plastics we vow to do our best to spread awareness for single use alternatives and lead by example by hosting zero waste events. By working together we can better understand how our consumer habits make an impact on our planet and start making the little changes necessary to a brighter and less trashy future.
