Join us for two magical evenings at the Circus Tent, Creamery Field on 8th Street, Arcata. Friday April 22 and Saturday April 23, 2022. 8:00 p.m. Zoe Jakes is a belly dancer and founding member of Beats Antique and the mastermind behind House of Tarot, a dance theater performance imbued with ethereal, fantastic, and sometimes dark and bizarre storytelling and ritual. The archetypes of the Tarot come to life in dynamic choreographies, stunning set design, various theatrical props, and an original score of music by Zoe Jakes. The House of Tarot cast is comprised of a variety of spectacular performers, each bringing their own unique qualities and training to the production: Zoe Jakes (dance, choreography, direction, costume design) Joined by Bay Area Dancers: Pixie Fordtears, May Yang, Jessica Cooper, Sadira Lady Liquid, Theresa Wong, Lexa Blondet, and Michelle Danna along with local dancers Tani Serene and Shoshanna.
