Zootini
Fancy an Eagletini? How about a Red Pandarita? Or perhaps you’re in the mood for Otter Whisker Sour? Sequoia Park Zoo invites the community to join friends and zoo residents at the 9th annual high-style Zootini fundraiser on Saturday, August 15 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Sequoia Park Zoo!
Admission is $75 for Zoo members, $85 for non-members, with reserved tables of eight available at a discounted rate of $550. Guests will enjoy evening zoo access, a catered dinner, live and silent auctions, local music, animal encounters and more.
Join us in celebrating the successful conclusion of Watershed Heroes, the first phase of our Native Predators Biozone, and the arrival of River otters, salmon, and our magnificent Bald eagle, Cheyenne. Funds raised at this year’s event will lay the foundations for Phase 2, which will see the return of Black bears and other signature North Western species like the Pacific fisher, Coyote, and Mountain lion!
Guests may start the evening with their choice of our four signature cocktails, including the Eagletini, named for our guest of honor, Cheyenne. Drinks will be available at the Cini and Masala Bars, hosted by Humboldt Event Services and named for our Red panda twins. Each bar will feature all four of this year’s signature cocktails, as well as traditional mixed drinks, beer, and sodas. Featured wine from local wineries will be sold by the glass and the bottle at the “Lucky You” wine pull. Guests may also try their luck at this ever-popular game of chance by purchasing a draw for a random number to take home the corresponding bottle of wine, worth anywhere between $3 and over $100.
Sit back and relax while listening to local music performed by the Jazz Quadrant and enjoy a gourmet sit-down dinner created by Uniquely Yours Catering. Auctioneer extraordinaire First District Supervisor Rex Bohn will be taking bids on exotic vacations, private parties, exclusive Zoo experiences and much more at the live auction. Guests may also place bids on over fifty incredible finds from some of Humboldt’s favourite local businesses at the silent auction.
Only at Zootini will you be able to engage in up-close animal encounters and have the opportunity to chat with zoo keepers about our furry and feathered friends. A raffle drawing for one-on-one Zoo experiences gives guests the chance to win a behind the scenes pass to a training experience with our River otters, a feeding with our Red pandas, or a hosted birthday party at the Zoo.
We encourage attendees to purchase tickets in advance online here, by mail, through the Zoo ticket booth, or by calling 707-442-5649 ext 200. Unable to attend the event? You can still participate in the raffle drawing! Participants need not be present at the event to win and may purchase tickets ahead of time through the Zoo ticket booth or by phone.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 15 and connect with the wild inside you at the 9th Annual Zootini, taking place at the Sequoia Park Zoo, 3414 W Street in Eureka. This is a 21-and over event. For more information, visit our Zootini page.
