Arctostaphylos (/ˌɑːrktoʊˈstæfɪləs, -lɒs/; arkto bear + staphyle grape) is a genus of plants comprising the manzanitas (/ˌmænzəˈniːtəz/) and bearberries. They are shrubs or small trees.
