The Tephromelataceae are a family of lichenized fungi in the order Lecanorales. The family was circumscribed by German lichenologist Josef Hafellner in 1984. Tephromelataceae comprises the genera Tephromela, Calvitimela, Mycoblastus and Violella, which together constitute a well-supported monophyletic group.
