Anemone (/əˈnɛməniː/) is a genus of about 200 species of flowering plants in the family Ranunculaceae, native to temperate zones. The genus is closely related to Pulsatilla (‘Pasque flower’) and Hepatica; some botanists even include both of these genera within Anemone.
