Salsa Macha, Flowers & Shortbread

From left to right: Nadia Ebermen, Toby Tullis and Devon Van Dam.

As our ongoing series continues on Fridays with our local makers Humboldt Made and Eureka Natural Foods, Toby in the Morning sat down with Nadia Ebermen of Earth Drifter and Devon Van Dam of Moonstone In Bloom.

Nadia, a Los Angeles transplant, is showcasing her legacy recipe of salsa macha, a seasoned blend of nuts, dried chiles, spices and herbs in a chunky oil that’s great for cooking or simply spreading truly authentic Mexican flavor on your meal.

Devon, a 17-year veteran of Special Education, has answered her calling of bringing flowers to the world in the most spectacular way. From special events to weekly centerpieces at some of your local restaurants, she is using vases as her canvas…and oh yeah, she makes garden-inspired flavored shortbread cookies!

You can find both of their products at Eureka Natural Foods or on their websites – Earth Drifter and Moonstone In Bloom.
