HBSC Lives Again as “The Landing”
Rosa Dixon and Meredith Maier of Humboldt Made stopped by Toby in the Morning to discuss the news broke by Ryan Burns on Monday that the local non-profit have taken over the now defunct Humboldt Bay Social Club in Samoa. (who they are both quick to point out is only a mere 6 minutes from downtown Arcata or Eureka.)
The timing was fortuitous that Rosa had been mentally seeking a place for Humboldt Made to call their own at the same time that Eureka approached them about taking over the Humboldt Bay Social Club.
“The Landing”, an homage to the place for Humboldt Made to land as well as the airport theme, ; is slated to open mid-late January ; and will include a store front for Humboldt Made members and their wares, conference space, event space for private parties, 4 luxury hotel rooms and much more in the works!
Rutabaga Queen and Friday Night Market organizer, Olivia Gambino will be holding the reins as manager and they were quick to point out how wonderful previous proprietor Nicole has been in the transition with understanding the property.
