POWER'S OUT! Smokin' Lines in a Tree Take Out Juice to Arcata, McKinleyville

UPDATE, 1:33 p.m.: The following Stoney Times pic shows that chaos reigns on streetlightless Central Avenue:

###

UPDATE, 1:04 p.m.: PG&E should be getting to the scene in about five minutes, as per scanner traffic. Friend o’ the LoCO Stoney Times tells us that traffic lights are out through downtown McKinleyville.

###

Over 3,500 PG&E customers are without power in Arcata and McKinleyville as of this writing, apparently due to some lines near the southern intersection of Central Avenue and Highway 101 coming into contact with trees.

Scanner Traffic Indicates Boss “Just-In” is chronicling his disappointment with the outage over here. (Note: North Scanner feed down for a while.) Other reports are coming in from Valley West and basically everywhere in McK.
