Crash on 101 Takes Out Power to Piercy/Legget

It’s odd, sometimes, the disparity between what PG&E tells us and what the California Highway Patrol tells us in these situations.

For instance, the CHP dispatch logs this morning tell us that an SUV hit a power pole a bit north of Standish-Hickey at 6:43 a.m., the a Calfire paramedic team has been dispatched and that PG&E has been notified.

However, as of this writing PG&E’s public notifications system says that it’s still attempting to determine why power is out to 444 customers in the area. See that, and updates, below.
