A Downed Tree Has Closed Patrick's Point Drive and Knocked the Juice Out of Northern Trinidad

PG&E says that about 426 customers are without power on the nothern parts of the Greater Trinidad area.

The utility’s automatic alert system — which you can see below — doesn’t yet know the cause of this outage, but we happen to. We just got a message from the county roads department that says this:

Patricks Point Drive is temporarily closed due to downed tree in roadway. In front of Trinidad Inn, north of CalFire Station.

So there ya go. PG&E guesses, as of now, that electrical service will be restored by 6 p.m., but that could change. Follow updates below.
