Power Outage in Myrtletown
UPDATE, 10:52 a.m.: Here’s an update sent in by Deanna Contreras, PG&E public information officer for our area:
PG&E crews worked safety and as quickly as possible to restore power to most of the 4,322 customers who lost electricity after a vehicle struck our equipment. This happened just after 6:30 am this morning in the area of Harris Street and Hubbard in Eureka.
PG&E crews will be in the area today to replace a power pole and repair broken equipment. Everyone, except for 18 customers had power by 8 a.m. The remaining 18 customers who are currently impacted are expected to have power by 5 p.m. this evening.
###
NOTE: This power outage seems to have been caused by a car crash into a power pole near Redwood Acres. See here.
