Big Power Outage in the Eel River Valley

The overnight wind and weather has knocked a wide swatch of the lower Eel offline this morning. As of this writing, it’s estimated that more than 3,000 customers are out in Fortuna, Loleta, Ferndale and elsewhere.

Updates below, but unfortunately you can’t trust the map: We’re working with a new data provider here, and apparently they’re stuck with the original scope of the reported outage, which covers not much more than Table Bluff. Perhaps they’ll eventually get the updated map, perhaps not! We’re going to have to see. Check out PG&E’s outage map in the meanwhile, if you like.
