“Absolutely! An oversight board would boost transparency and accountability—exactly what we need to earn the public’s trust in local law enforcement. Sheriff Honsal should be rolling out the red carpet for this! Bring on the oversight!”

“No way. Such a body would just add another obstacle to protecting our community. Oversight is already provided by numerous existing state level departments. It’s hard enough to be a cop these days. Let’s not make it harder.”
