Uh oh! Earlier today, LoCO learned that Mad River Community Hospital will be closing its birthing center, leaving St. Joseph Hospital as the only hospital in Humboldt offering maternal services. Hmm! Of course, this comes on the same day we reported that St. Joe’s is also cutting other services of their own. So! Very exciting time to be alive. Who knows what the future holds? But, just to make sure we’re covered when shit gets real, uh, can you deliver a baby?
