To what degree has Humboldt welcomed our new robot overlords?

Going off our years of careful study, LoCO would have guessed — at least until recently — that our neighbors would be the sort to proudly resist allowing AI into their daily lives. Here in Humboldt, we have a history of being averse to trends, fashion and otherwise. We don’t need these billionaire-controlled robots makin’ our decisions for us! Right?!

But if we’re being honest, LoCO is witnessing plenty of AI creep through the Redwood Curtain these days. Lots of local venues use AI to make their show posters. Local agencies issue AI-written press releases. Staff at other local news sites don’t hesitate to slap their byline on obviously AI-penned copy. Hell, folks have, on more than one occasion, submitted AI-produced obituaries to us. Truly, the robots walk among us. 

Like most people, we have complex thoughts on this topic. But that’s not why we’re here today. We just want to try and get a sense of how much y’all are integrating AI into your lives. No shame. Weigh in below.
