POLL! How Aggressive Should the County of Humboldt Be in Pressing Cannabis Farmers to Pay Back Taxes?
On Tuesday, the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors deliberated whether or not to grant further relief to cannabis growers who’ve yet to pay their Measure S taxes. Ultimately, the board voted to give 210 permit holders with delinquent tax bills until April 4 to make some sort of payment or have their permits suspended. Those who’ve made some effort to settle up but still owe back taxes have until Dec. 31 to make a payment or else face permit revocation.
