POLL! Do You Support Gov. Newsom’s Push to Make Encampments Illegal?
On Monday, Governor Gavin Newsom signaled California is taking a new approach to combating homeless encampments across the state, while also calling on cities to ban or restrict camping in public spaces “without delay.”
“There’s nothing compassionate about letting people die on the streets,” Newsom said in a statement. “The time for inaction is over. There are no more excuses.”
