You read our report this morning, so you know: It looks like there are two current main contestants in the bid to acquire the old, gutted Sears portion of the Bayshore Mall, which is scheduled to be auctioned off on the courthouse steps Friday.
One of these is Humboldt County government, which for a few years has been looking to build a “one-stop permitting center,” where residents of the unincorporated areas can conveniently pop in and pick up papers that will allow them to build an ADU or plant some weed or what have you.
The other of these is: Home Depot.
So what do you want to see happen in that corner of the mall? We’ve given you those two options and a few extra.
