Every Fourth of July celebration comes with some baggage, and a lot of people participate with mixed feelings, or don’t do it at all. This Saturday’s festivities marks a nice, big round number — 250! — something humans are hardwired to appreciate. (Though we’re definitely not hardwired to be able to pronounce semiquincentennial.) Does it matter to you?
