We have 29 days before ballots are mailed out and 56 days before they’re due back. There’s a lot of road between here and there.

That being said, though — do you have a good idea about who has your vote to be the next mayor of Eureka?

Though the position is largely ceremonial, we figure there’s a good chance that the election will be something of a referendum on the last few years of Eureka history.

They’ve been eventful years! We’ve been wondering — is this the year that the mad-as-hell-and-can’t-take-it-anymore Facebook hordes channel their energy into electoral success? Or is that still as vaporous a dream as it has been in the last couple of cycles?
