We felt this one as one sharp shock in Eureka, and we were not alone — Friends of the LoCO are checking in from Rio Dell to Bayside, most of them reporting a sudden, single jolt. One fellow says he felt some rolling waves, but he seems to be in the minority.
This was preceded, a few hours earlier, by a 3.3 quake in nearly the same spot, and followed by a 2.4 minutes later.
