A flurry of moderate-sized earthquakes have struck off Cape Mendocino in the last 24 hour.
The largest, a 4.4-magnitude quake, shook moments ago roughly 8 miles offshore from Petrolia.
According to the USGS, the quake caused the ground to shake as far east as Bridgeville.
The National Weather Service reports that no tsunami warning has been issued.
