RANKED CHOICE POLL! What is Humboldt's Favorite STAR WARS Movie?

Last year, county officials wisely decided it was time to cash in on our region’s longstanding connection to the Star Wars franchise by staging the first-ever Forest Moon Festival, which returns this weekend with its second incarnation. After some initial confusion, we have confirmed lightsabers are allowed at all event locations. Overcautious we can be.

What we’re wondering today, though: Where does Return of the Jedi — the Star Wars film that was actually filmed here — rank in the hearts of local Star Wars fanatics? Historically, critics have ranked it last amongst the original trilogy. Do the speeder chases through the redwoods earn it some more points with LoCO readers?

In an attempt to find out (and also to again try to prepare you for Humboldt’s ranked choice voting future) we are asking you to rank all the films in the “Skywalker Saga” in order from your most to least loved.  If you’re new to LoCO ranked choice voting, all you have to do is drag and drop the films below into the order of your preference and then submit. A more in-depth explanation of how this all works can be found on a previous poll here

OK, jedi wannabes. May the force blah blah blah.

998 votes cast.

Poll’s closed!

And now watch LoCO’s ranked choice voting system work its magic.
