Re the incident a Sweasey Dam in Blue Lake that was previously covered by Unofficial, Cal Fire’s Copter 102 picked up the patient around 9:00 and landed at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Eureka approximately 30 minutes ago. It sounds like Copter 102 was the first and only first responder to make it to the scene. The patient reportedly received CPR

Air 18 has flown overhead at the 40°49.853’, -123°56.3579’ location, looking for the ground personnel now along Mad River near Caňon Creek, but they still won’t be able to land due to fog. Heading back to Willits but will be available to return if needed.

MAD IC requesting Fortuna Dispatch to notify REACH Air 18 of their coordinates, they have approx 1 mile further to hike in. Fog has lifted significantly in the area, and they’re requesting the copter to lift off and fly up-river ahead of them

Mad IC, Blue Lake Engine 8546, has notified Fortuna Dispatch that Air 18 is likely going to be landing while the rescue personnel hike in and get the patient. Fog is making an air approach into the site unsafe.
