Fieldbrook Volunteer Fire Department’s water tender was just released from the Murray incident. Fieldbrook volunteers have been on scene with Calfire operating their water tender since before 2:00 this afternoon when the incident began

Murray IC reports that the vegetation fire is still holding at the current size but crews are continuing heavy mop up. Copter 102 was released approximately 1 hour ago. Resources still at scene will be committed for 4-5 more hours and at least one engine will be needed to continue work tomorrow.

Calfire Chief 1213 is on scene of the vegetation fire and will be taking over Murray IC. (This incident is in the state responsibility area) Forward progress has been stopped but there will be extensive mop up. Chief 1213 is cancelling all local fire department resources with the exception of 2 water tenders. Calfire still has two engines and a hand crew responding in addition to 1213 and Copter 102 with crew already on scene

Green Diamond representatives are out with Chief 8201 and are working to bring heavy equipment to clear the road so engines can make access. Copter 102 is overhead and estimates that the fire is 1 acre in size. It appears that Copter 102 is getting water from the Mad River by the pump station off West End Rd and making drops on the fire

The fire is reported to be 2 acres in size and burning in heavy fuels. Slow rate of spread. Chief 8201 advises that access will need to be made on foot as the road has water bars that will need to be cleared by heavy equipment before fire engines can make access

Mckinleyville, Vegetation Fire: Arcata Chief 8201 located a vegetation fire up Green Diamond roads off Murray Rd. Chief 8201 Assuming Murray IC. Calfire has dispatched a full wildland fire response including Copter 102, 2 Calfire engines, a chief and a hand crew as well as Westhaven Fire, Arcata Fire, Blue Lake Fire and Fieldbrook Fire. Chief 8200 will be assuming Murray Staging manager. Incident staging at the old Bigfoot gas station on Central across from Renner
