The home in question is clear and some officers are becoming available. EPD will likely remain there to process the scene. It sounds like EPD detectives interviewed the victims that initially reported the incident and are continuing to investigate. As noted below, a countywide BOLO was issued around 5:00

The standoff in Eureka is still ongoing. The incident commander reported several minutes ago that the SWAT personnel were entering the residence. I have not heard a positive confirmation that there are people inside, but officers have seen movement in the windows. It was reported that a resident’s dog may be inside too

HCSO has SWAT units out with EPD now and additional SWAT officers are responding. It sounds like EPD has at least two possible victims who escaped early in the incident. A possible suspect vehicle is parked on scene and was found running with a door open. A second suspect vehicle may have left prior to officers being called. Officers have possibly seen movement in the windows of the residence. It’s not clear if they have made phone contact with anyone in the residence. EPD and HCSO have established a command post and fire and medical are staged. Neighboring residences were contacted and directed to shelter in place. E St. remains blocked from Henderson to Long

EPD is still at scene at E and Dollison with the house surrounded. A countywide BOLO (be on lookout) has been issued to county law enforcement agencies for 6 unidentified potential suspects and 2-3 unknown victims who may possibly be missing. The exact details are still unclear but the initial RP reported that the incident may have involved armed individuals entering the residence and tying up and/or taking victims from the residence

Eureka Unknown Circumstances: EPD is in the area of E and Dollison after an individual called 911 reporting that they had escaped a situation at a nearby residence and several other victims and suspects may still be at scene. Details are unclear. EPD and HCSO are on scene with a house surrounded and are giving commands. Off duty EPD officers are being recalled to cover the city while officers are dealing with this situation. E Street is closed between Henderson and Long
