Music Under the Southern Humboldt Skies This Summer
Coming this July to the Mendocino / Humboldt Border are two premier outdoor events with a diverse range of music and entertainment to rock you through your summer.
Northern Nights Music Festival and the newly announced Lumberstruck offer an escape from the ordinary for music lovers looking to hear electronic to country and everything in between.
Now in its fourth year, Northern Nights (July 15th - 17th, 2016) is “Not your Cookie Cutter Music Festival,” where the creature comforts of the city meet the natural rugged beauty of the Redwoods and South Fork Eel River. This year’s lineup, featuring musical acts from electronic music, hip-hop and indie rock genres, includes international talent Gorgon City Live, Griz, Amon Tobin, Troyboi, Claptone, The Coup, and many regional and local acts.
Its top caliber lineup and unique festival experience has positioned Northern Nights as one of the most highly anticipated events of the Summer. The Northern Nights Experience features: a daytime river float party, jaw-dropping art installations, a silent disco, the world-renowned Void Sound System, mindful yoga in the redwoods, stand-up comedy, craft beer and wine, rejuvenating hot cedar showers, a range of spectacular camping and luxury “glamping” options, and many more surprises.

While this event continues to grow, the same people who brought you Northern Nights present a brand new one-day celebration at the same legendary location. Here to establish your new Independence Day family tradition is Lumberstruck (July 3, 2016), featuring The Marshall Tucker Band.
Lumberstruck was created with the intention to bring the scene back to its roots, and does so by featuring bluegrass, country, and rock music while serving up BBQ and craft brews / cocktails, and ultimately offering the ideal holiday weekend getaway with dancing, camping, fireworks and family fun on the river. The event also gives patrons the option to camp for the night of July 3rd at no additional charge!
The inaugural Lumberstruck Music Festival event is excited to present musical entertainment by The Marshall Tucker Band, Angels Cut, San Geronimo, No Good Redwood Ramblers, The Incubators, Lyndsey Battle, and more to be announced! This event is brought to you by Cutty Sark Prohibition, and is associated with the Southern Humboldt Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center’s Annual 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular at Benbow Park.
So this July, whether you’re a little more city, or a little more country, you are covered at Cook’s Valley Campground / County Line (Dimmick) Ranch - conveniently located adjacent to the iconic Highway 101, ten miles south of Garberville, in Piercy, CA!
