Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates on this situation. Fasten loose objects or shelter objects in a safe location prior to the onset of winds.

If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

DESCRIPTION

* WHAT…For the Dense Fog Advisory, visibility less than one mile in dense fog. For the High Wind Watch, south winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 70 mph possible. Strongest winds typically occur across exposed ridges and coastal headlands.

* WHERE…Coastal Del Norte, Del Norte Interior, Southwestern Humboldt, Northern Humboldt Interior and Southern Humboldt Interior Counties.

* WHEN…For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 10 AM PST this morning. For the High Wind Watch, from Monday evening through late Monday night.

* IMPACTS…Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.
