The latest road conditions for the state of California can be obtained by calling 1-800-GAS-ROAD.

DESCRIPTION

* WHAT…Snow expected above 1000 feet. Total snow accumulations of up to 4 to 6 inches along highway 299, 36 and route 199. 1 to 2 inches possible along the high elevation passes of highway 101. Trace amounts of snow possible below 1000 feet. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph on high ridges.

* WHERE…Elevations above 1000 feet in Humboldt, Trinity, and Del Norte Counties.

* WHEN…From 1 AM to 2 PM PST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Along the coast, accumulating small hail is possible down to sea level.
