DESCRIPTION

* WHAT…Heavy snow expected above 1000 feet. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 24 inches. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph.

* WHERE…Portions of northwest California.

* WHEN…Until 4 PM PST Thursday.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. Strong winds could cause tree damage.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Highest snowfall totals will be across ridges, while lowest snowfall amountas will be near 1000 feet.
