INSTRUCTIONS

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. At home, prepare for possible power outages.

The latest road conditions for the state of California can be obtained by calling 1-800-GAS-ROAD.

DESCRIPTION

* WHAT…18 to 30 inches of snow expected above 2000 feet. 2 to 10 inches of wet snow expected between 1000 and 2000 feet. Trace amounts possible below 1000 feet. Wind gusts as high as 35 mph can cause dangerously low visibilities.

* WHERE…Portions of northwest California.

* WHEN…From 4 AM Saturday to 4 PM Sunday.

* IMPACTS…Travel will be nearly impossible across mountain roads and highway passes including highways 299, 36, 3, 101, and 199.
