DESCRIPTION

* WHAT…Heavy snow expected above 1000 feet. Total snow accumulations ranging from 7 inches near 1000 feet to 17 inches across higher ridges. Snow may accumulate at elevations below 1000 feet in northern Mendocino and interior Humboldt counties. Snow levels may be closer to 1500 feet in Lake County. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph on ridgetops.

* WHERE…Portions of northwest California.

* WHEN…Until 4 PM PST Sunday.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult to impossible.
