INSTRUCTIONS

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe.

DESCRIPTION

* WHAT…Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE…A portion of northwest California, including the following county, Humboldt.

* WHEN…Until 1215 PM PDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS… - At 955 PM PDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. This will cause small stream flooding. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include… Grizzly Creek Redwoods State Park, Garberville, Richardson Grove State Park, Myers Flat, Bridgeville, Weott, Alderpoint, Redway, Dinsmore, Pepperwood, Richardson Grove, Miranda, Blocksburg, Fort Seward, Shively, Benbow and Bull Creek. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
